(Inglese) Bocchignano is a small fortified village on the top of sharpened a hill, Placed in Sabina. It's a part of Montopoly in Sabina municipality. in the Province of Rieti, Lazio.
Nice place, the well preserved village deserves a quick walk for its narrow streets.
Like every italian village has a plqaue devoted to the Fallen in First World War (notice that it's called "European" in the plaque, quite rare), placed on the church outside wall, near the arch, only carriage gateway to the village, Via dell'Archivio.
Peculiar is the second plaques in the village, placed in 1987 outside the post office, in Via del Borgo 17.
This plaque honours the fallen in first and second world war, civilian inclused.
Rare but significative example, to honour the victims of all wars, combatant and civilian.
